# Pricing Around Trendyol Shipping Thresholds: How a $1 Change Moves Your Net Payout

A worked example of why net payout can move in surprising ways when your price crosses a shipping threshold.

## Short answer

A shipping threshold can change which shipping fee an order carries. A $1 price move near the threshold does not have to lift net payout by $1, because commission and shipping load can change too. For the real calculation, use the Trendyol agreement, campaign terms and order deductions valid on that date.

## What is a shipping threshold, and why does it matter for pricing?

On a marketplace, the shipping deduction can depend on basket value, dimensional weight, campaigns and your agreement, not just the list price. For a product near a threshold, a small price change can change the shipping deduction. Check the current official thresholds for your product and agreement and put them in the calculation.

## Sample payout for a $1 price increase

This example is entirely hypothetical. Commission is 10%, product cost is $14 and the shipping deduction is $3.00 at a $19 price. When the price rises to $20, *assume* the shipping deduction falls to $2.50:

| Item | $19 | $20 |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Selling price | $19.00 | $20.00 |
| Commission (10%) | $1.90 | $2.00 |
| Hypothetical shipping deduction | $3.00 | $2.50 |
| Product cost | $14.00 | $14.00 |
| Unit contribution profit | $0.10 | $1.50 |

Here a $1 price rise lifts unit contribution by $1.40. If the threshold works the other way, the same move can hurt profitability. That is why you redo the calculation at every threshold.

## How to use this analysis in XPrice

XPrice's price, cost, category commission and scenario screens give you a starting point for discussing a product's economics. Before you act, confirm the product's commission tier, your unit cost including shipping and any campaign deductions, and include them in the contribution calculation.

## A checklist for sellers

- Check the official shipping and agreement tariff for the campaign and period.
- Separate the product price from the realized basket price.
- Keep commission, seller coupon, platform support and return assumptions apart.
- Compare two or three real prices on either side of the threshold.
